Position Summary: IT Project Manager, IT DepartmentHeartland Dental has experienced rapid growth over the past few years, and there’s more to come Are you ready to be part of this thriving Heartland Team? We have created a new position, IT Project Manager, to manage various process improvement and system implementation initiatives across the organization. The IT Project Manager will report to the Senior Manager, IT Project Management, and work closely with leaders within the IT department and other leaders across the organization. We are hard-working, fun-loving and fast-growing – looking for our next perfect fit Below is an overview of the duties and responsibilities you would take on in this role:Managing large enterprise-type projects that involve multiple departments and vendors to ensure proper management towards successful conclusionServing as the primary point-of-contact for implementation partners and internal team membersCreating and maintaining project plans to monitor and track progressEnsuring resource availability and allocationEnsuring that process decisions, functional decisions, and project deliverables are completed with the involvement of the appropriate stakeholders to deliver overall solutionCoordinating and monitoring activities of all parties involved in the project to ensure the system is completed on time and within budgetMeasuring project performance using appropriate tools and techniquesCommunicating project status to appropriate management and interested partiesAssessing the change impact on the organization and integrating strategies for change management into the project plan Creating and maintaining a team atmosphere and work environment to promote project work productivityOther projects as assigned Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skills with proven capability of communicating to all levels of the organization as this position with have significant interaction with senior leadership Thorough knowledge of project management theories and practices and the ability to apply that knowledge History of successfully delivering on large-scale IT projects involving diverse stakeholders and multiple vendorsExtensive knowledge of the information systems development life cycle, information technology, project tools and approaches to development and implementation. Experience working as a project managerAbility to lead, encourage and influence others to performProven success in vendor management, i.e. partnering with one or more vendors during a project to achieve results as a team and holding vendors accountable when appropriate.Although not expected to be significant, ability to travel as necessary to perform job responsibilities. Desirable Qualifications:PMP Certification preferred; Scrum / Agile Certifications and experience a plusPhysical Requirements:Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.
