This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Special Education Teacher dedicated to supporting elementary students with high-level needs. Located in Concord, NH, this position involves working within a full semester contract at an elementary school where students attend from 8:20 a.m. to 3:05 p.m. daily. The role requires focused instruction and management of a caseload of six students, each supported by 1:1 paraprofessionals.Key responsibilities include overseeing paraprofessional staff to ensure effective support, developing and delivering tailored instructional programs, and managing all special education processes such as Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and eligibility evaluations. Collaboration is integral, with in-house Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and related services teams available to assist in providing comprehensive support.Qualifications and desired experience:Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly with students who have high needsStrong leadership and organizational skills to effectively manage paraprofessionals and coordinate instructional deliveryIn-depth knowledge of special education laws, eligibility criteria, and IEP developmentAbility to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including behavior specialists and therapistsFlexibility and commitment to plan extensively, especially at the start of the semester, with additional compensated hours available for this purposeWork expectations call for approximately eight hours per week on-site, with substantial planning time outside of regular hours to ensure the success of instructional and administrative duties.This role offers a meaningful chance to impact students learning experiences positively while working within a supportive team environment.
