Responsibilities Data Specialist ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will deploy to disaster sites to support FEMA or other government entities in the delivery of disaster recovery programs such as the Public Assistance (PA) program or the FEMA Individual Assistance (IA) Direct Housing program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Data mining, analysis, maintenance and manipulation Entering data into electronic databases and spreadsheetsCreating and maintaining spreadsheets using Microsoft ExcelTransitioning data between multiple systems and applicationsTraining personnel on the spreadsheets and/or databasesPreparing reports using Microsoft PowerPoint and Power BIDeveloping and maintaining electronic dashboards to present dataOther administrative and clerical activities related to the disaster mission Required Skills & Required Experience High School diploma required; A bachelor’s degree in a related field of study from an accredited university is preferredMinimum (2) two years of full-time, demonstrated experience with work involving data analysis, mining, reporting, and predictive modelingExperience creating data visualization tools such as web-based dashboards and working with the various data-related coding language or softwareProficiency with Microsoft applicationsAdvanced Microsoft Excel and Power BI skillsEnergetic, organized and detailed-orientedExcellent oral and written communication skillsMust be able to work both independently and in a team environment under stressful conditions The ability to work up to 12 hours per day, 7 days a week while deployed to a disaster recovery operation for up to 12 months Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving recordBe a . citizen capable of passing a federal background investigation to obtain a Public Trust clearance *At this time, Dewberry will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.*This position is covered by the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act of 1965 (SCA).*Dewberry is an Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action Employer.
