We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.General Summary:The Withdrawal Management Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients undergoing medical detoxification from substances such as alcohol and drugs. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, administering medications as prescribed, managing withdrawal symptoms, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.The nurse collaborates with a multidisciplinary team, including RNs, physicians, and behavioral health professionals, to support patients through the detox process.Strong assessment skills, documentation accuracy, and compassionate patient care are essential for this role.Hours: Three, 12-hour weekly shifts; 7:00pm - 7:30am with a rotating weekends and holidaysEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Obtain vital signs and assessments.Triage client concerns, assuring timely communication with appropriate practitioner/providerProvide clinical and nursing services as assigned to clients who have substance abuse disorders and mental health issues in the community withdrawal management/mental health center setting.Identify and respond to medical or psychiatric emergencies.Obtain prior authorizations for medications and treatments for clients.Enroll clients in drug assistance and programs.Medical case management for the medication assisted treatment patients including treatment planning, monitoring of progress and completion of Ohio outcomes.Follow up on requested labs to facilitate communication with the practitioner/provider and the client.Assure medical record completeness for new clients and clients who are being discharged from the hospital and other settings.
