Insurance Coverage Attorney

Kennedys, a Legal 500 and Chambers-ranked global law firm, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Associate with at least four years of insurance coverage experience to support its national and international coverage practice. The position is based in CA, but our culture fosters global collaboration daily. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years' insurance coverage experience. In this role, the attorney will advise insurance companies in a variety of coverage matters and represent insurance companies in coverage disputes. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing global law firm as it expands its presence on the West Coast. Candidates should have experience analyzing coverage issues, drafting coverage opinions, pleadings, and dispositive motions, and conducting discovery in insurance coverage litigation. The ideal candidate also will have taken and defended depositions, attended court conferences, and argued motions. Competitive salary and benefits package offered. Attorney compensation ranges from $150,000 to $220,000 annually. Salary is contingent upon level of experience, practice group, location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Required experience Minimum of 4 years law firm insurance coverage experience Licensed in CA Excellent academic background Superior research, writing and communication skills Organized and self-motivated Experience handling all phases of the litigation process including drafting pleadings and motions, conducting discovery and appeals.
