LAUNDRY ATTENDANTLaundry Attendants are responsible for the cleanliness of the laundry, ensuring that all laundry is handled, sorted, cleaned and maintained according to brand standards and hotel procedures. The following reflects the essential job duties but does not restrict tasks that may be assigned. Duties of this job may be changed at management’s discretion.Duties include:Operates washers and dryers in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelinesWash, and fold clean linens, towels and sheets and stores in appropriate areasInspect items for wear and tearCollect laundry from carts/chute, separating items for launderingMoves laundry to washing area, clean laundry to drying area, dry laundry to folding are and folded laundry to proper storage according to brand and corporate proceduresUse and maintain proper laundry recovery programMaintains adequate inventory of suppliesEnsures compliance with energy conservation and job safety requirementsProactively maintain assigned areas and equipmentEnsure efficient completion of daily assignments in a timely mannerUse supplies efficientlyCommunicate with room attendants on room statusReports items needed for purchase to supervisorReport all safety concerns to managementAttend and participate in all mandatory trainingsFlexible with schedule and assignmentsMaintain effective performance under pressureMay perform similar duties as requested by supervisorRequirements:Good customer service skillsAbility to work independently and with othersGood communication skillsAbility to give and follow verbal and written instructionsAttention to detailAbility to occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to multi taskDisplays good initiative
