Make a difference as a Municipal EngineerAs a new Municipal Engineer at Gilmore and Associates, you can expect a dynamic day-to-day environment focused on design, planning, and implementation of municipal projects. Your responsibilities will include conducting site assessments, performing engineering calculations, and preparing detailed reports and documentation. You will collaborate closely with project managers and other engineers, ensuring projects meet regulatory requirements while adhering to timelines and budgets.Daily activities may also involve attending municipal meetings, engaging with community stakeholders, and presenting your findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions for infrastructure challenges, utilizing your creativity and problem-solving skills. Regularly participating in team brainstorming sessions and workshops will enhance your learning and professional development as you adapt to the high-performance culture at Gilmore and Associates.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Market, sell and cross-sell professional services for all disciplines and office locationsAssist Project Manager to establish new and maintain existing relationships with clients, subcontractors, etc.Attend required public meetings; Planning Commission, Board of Supervisors, Zoning Hearing Board, etc.Provide design services and project management on municipal capital improvement projectsPrepare Federal and State regulatory permit applications and plansPrepare bid plans and specificationsPerform site investigations, construction observation and field reconnaissance Review subdivision and land development plans for compliance with applicable municipal ordinancesPrioritize and manage multiple clients/projectsEssential Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related areaEngineer-In-Training or Registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania 2+ years of Municipal Engineering experience Would you be a great Municipal Engineer?To thrive as a Municipal Engineer at Gilmore and Associates, essential skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address complex engineering challenges effectively.
