AWS Life Sciences, part of the AWS Applied AI Solutions organization, seeks a strong product leader to serve as General Manager of our Life Sciences organization. We're on a mission to transform drug discovery, clinical development, and clinical diagnostics by delivering purpose-built AI solutions for life sciences researchers and organizations. Our portfolio includes foundational capabilities in HealthOmics and HealthImaging, alongside innovative end-user applications. This role will help realize our vision of "Every business innovating with Amazon AI teammates" while building delightful AI solutions that improve human capabilities and business outcomes.Key job responsibilitiesOwn and drive the multi-year vision, strategy, and execution roadmap for AWS Life Sciences products across drug discovery, clinical development, and diagnosticsLead development of foundational capabilities in HealthOmics and HealthImaging while identifying new opportunities for AI-powered life sciences solutionsDrive key PRFAQs and OP1 documents for executive review, securing leadership alignment on strategic initiativesDefine and own business metrics, P&L responsibilities, and growth strategiesPartner with scientific, engineering, and go-to-market leaders to accelerate adoption of AWS Life Sciences solutionsBuild and nurture executive relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, and research organization leadersRepresent AWS Life Sciences strategy at executive forums and drive strategic partnershipsLead and develop senior product leaders while fostering a culture of innovation and scientific excellenceBASIC QUALIFICATIONS10+ years of product management experience in enterprise softwareDeep experience in life sciences technology, particularly in drug discovery, bioinformatics, or clinical trialsExperience driving enterprise-scale product strategy and executionTrack record of building and leading senior product teamsExperience with P&L ownership and pricing strategiesStrong technical background with understanding of AI/ML technologiesBachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or related fieldPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAdvanced degree (PhD/MS) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or related fieldMBA from top-tier institutionExperience with omics data analysis platforms and workflowsDeep understanding of clinical development processes and regulatory requirementsTrack record of successful enterprise product launches in life sciencesExperience with cloud computing platforms and distributed systemsPublication record or patents in life sciences technologyDemonstrated success in building partner ecosystemsStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsThis role offers the unique opportunity to leverage Amazon's AI expertise to revolutionize life sciences research and development, working at the intersection of advanced technology and critical healthcare challenges.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
