Tool & Die Maker III 2nd Shift

Description : Join us as a Tool and Die technician in our location in Sanford, NC facility. As a tool and Die Technician you will be using knowledge, skills, and effort to safely install, inspect, diagnose, repair, and injection molds tooling, assist in maintaining production and facility equipment. Fabrication responsibilities within toolroom. What’s in it for you? The anticipated hourly pay for this role is: $27.00 hr. plus 8% of shift premium for working the night shift. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Full ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, and reach with hands and arms. Full knowledge of safe work practices including: Hazardous materials awareness with OSHA’s Right-to-Know standard. Fork truck certified. Man lift certified. PPE requirements. Fire safety. Lockout/Tagout procedure. Hot work procedure. Full ability to read mechanical blueprints. Full ability to read pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics. Intermediate to full ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing equipment. Intermediate to full ability to identify root causes and make recommendations for improved operation. Full ability to operate the following maintenance equipment: Digital or analog volt/amp/ohm meter. Hand tools. Power tools. Arc welder. Plasma torch. TIG welder. Machine tools (lathe, mill, surface grinder, CNC equipment and drill press). Full computer skills to use applications such as: Maintenance Connection CMMS. CNC programming software (Mill Power, AutoCAD, Mastercam) Microsoft office suite OTHER REQUIREMENTS Must possess all hand tools needed to perform the required duties listed above. Be able to operate all tool room equipment: milling machines, lathes, grinders, hand tool, hand grinders, welder with precision. Able to properly use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, indicators, pin gages, height gages ext. Able to properly read blueprints, tooling prints, part prints with accuracy. Computer literate This individual will also train other technicians, and support Pentair goals in any way that management requests with a positive attitude. Position hours/shifts: 2nd shift: 2:30pm to 11:00pm, Monday through Fri (Plus overtime and weekends if needed) Physical Requirements: Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 50lbs.
