To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.Lunar Permanence is Blue Origin’s team dedicated to developing mission architectures such as our planned Lunar Lander program, Blue Moon (Link: ). Our Lunar Permanence team is developing our lunar landers to demonstrate core capabilities – including the BE-7 landing engine, precision landing sensors, and advanced integrated power and propulsion architecture.This role is for a Fluids Test Engineer within the Integration and Test team, supporting our mission to return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth.Passion for our mission and vision is requiredShift and Schedule:1st shift*Note: Ability to work multiple shifts and weekends with extended hours during critical test operationsTravel:Travel up to 25% during surge periods of integration and test to multiple offsite locations.Responsibilities:Develop test plans and procedures for vehicle level development, test beds, and qualification testingLead daily test operations, test consoles, direct technician work, and coordinate with internal and external customersWork with the design and systems engineers to plan tests of the vehicle fluid and thermal systems, ensuring the tests are designed to verify the appropriate requirementsDesign, procure, and install test support equipment; manage vendors and subcontractorsTroubleshoot issues that arise during testingReduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasksPerform root cause, system hazard analysis and failure investigationsFind opportunities for safety improvements and be resourcefulHave frequent and transparent customer interactions on challenging technical issuesWork independently to determine and develop approaches to solutionsParticipate in test readiness review, pre and post test briefings, and post test reviews.Assist with procedural redlines and updates during test campaignsCoordinate test crews, support equipment and vehicle configurations for testingEnforce safety policies during test planning and operationsQualifications:Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in spaceBS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline5+ years of fluids, pneumatic, or cryogenic or similar experienceUnderstanding of P&ID’s, pressure systems, and associated GSEUnderstand the Test Like You Fly assessment and exception processExcellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skillsExperience working collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environmentDesired:Experience with space vehicle testing including fluids, thermal, leak, proof.Experience with participating in NASA technical reviewsExperience with facility instrumentation and Data Acquisition and Control System setup and operationExperience with hazardous commodity operations (H2, O2, N2, He)Experience with scripting (Python or other scripting language)Culture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
