JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSThe Eberly College of Science is seeking applicants for a part-time Student Videographer position. This role supports visual content creation for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion in collaboration with the Communications Office, with a focus on documenting events, initiatives, and academic community engagement.Job DutiesCapture video content for college-sponsored events, programs, meetings, and initiativesEdit video content for use on websites, social media platforms, and internal communicationsCollaborate with staff to plan, develop, and execute video projects aligned with college and University messagingEnsure video content adheres to Penn State branding and accessibility standardsManage, organize, and archive digital media assetsProvide basic photography support as assignedAttend meetings and communicate project status and timelinesRequirements, Qualifications, and/or CompetenciesMust be a currently enrolled Penn State student in good academic standingDemonstrated experience with video recording and editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)Knowledge of basic video production techniques, including lighting, audio, and framingAbility to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlinesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a professional office environmentEffective written and verbal communication skillsNOTE: This position does not require certifications per the Compensation and Classification guidelines.ScheduleApproximately 8– hours per weekFlexible scheduling based on academic commitmentsOccasional evening hours may be required to support eventsCompensationThe starting rate for this position is $. per hour.BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCESEmployment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies.CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICSPursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 8, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR).
