Location: Villa Park, IL Position Type: Union (Full-time)   Job Summary: We are looking for a Lube Technician to join our growing team The right candidate will have a strong background in automotive and a desire to pursue ASE certification or technical degree.The day-to-day duties of this role include testing check systems to ensure they are working properly, driving vehicles for test purposes, and accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles.    Benefits Union Benefits Responsibilities Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks Qualifications: Deep understanding of automobiles and speedy diagnostic abilities Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment High School Diploma or GED (required) ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred) One year in a service department Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Pay: $18/hr About Us: Haggerty Auto Group, with its dealerships in Glen Ellyn, West Chicago, and Villa Park, is the most reliable and trusted dealer in the region.We carry a wide selection of new Ford, Chevrolet, Buick, and GMC vehicles, as well as a huge inventory of certified, quality-condition used vehicles.  We offer reliable service and repair to the many makes and models we sell.Customer service is our top priority here at Haggerty Auto Group, and our teams are experienced, industry-trained, and certified in their various areas. No other group dealership in Illinois sells more new & used vehicles of our brands or has more satisfied customers than Haggerty Auto Group   We are an equal opportunity employer and prohibit discrimination/harassment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
