The postdoc will collaborate with federal agencies, PJM, state energy offices, utilities, and other stakeholders to develop analytical frameworks, production cost modeling tools, scenario-based evaluations, and documented recommendations. The position requires the ability to perform rigorous quantitative analyses while effectively engaging a broad range of technical and policy stakeholders. Qualifications : Electrical Engineering (Power Systems, Energy Systems, or Optimization focus), Operations Research / Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Economics/Energy Economics, or Public Policy with strong quantitative modeling of energy : Power system planning or operations modeling Production cost modeling (PCM) Transmission expansion planning and techno-economic analysis Optimization methods for energy systems Model development (, GitHub maintenance/support) Strong communication skills in English (written, verbal, and presentation) are required. We prefer candidates with publications in a diverse set of journals. Cross-disciplinary publication is a strength.
