Experienced Chemical Process SpecialistCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Experienced Chemical Process Specialist to join the team in either Auburn, WA or Puyallup, WA.This specialist will support the development, optimization, and execution of chemical manufacturing processes. In this role, you will apply technical expertise to ensure processes operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and brings a continuous improvement mindset to process performance and operational excellence.Position Responsibilities:Develops and deploys process safety information and command mediaAnalyzes chemical processing metrics and information, recommends and implements improvements to critical chemical processing operationsProvides technical and regulatory information to cross functional teams and presents proposed design/build solutionsCoordinates, develops and delivers training programs that address chemical process managementParticipates in incident investigations and root cause analysesDevelops plans for scheduled and unscheduled process interruptions with cross functional teamsLeads and participates in hazard analyses and risk assessments, develops safeguards and provides team recommendationsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline3+ years of experience supporting chemical manufacturing or processing operationsExperience with chemical process principles, process controls, and material handlingExperience with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements (e.g., SOPs, GMP, OSHA, environmental standards)Capability to analyze process data, identify trends, and recommend improvementsCapability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environmentPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience with process optimization, troubleshooting, or scale-up activitiesExperience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, or similar)Experience supporting audits, deviations, or root cause investigationsExperience in a regulated manufacturing environmentProficiency with process documentation and technical reportingStrong problem-solving skills with attention to detailEffective written and verbal communication skillsDrug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.
