Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Litigation Paralegal at Carpenter & Zuckerman. As a Senior Litigation Paralegal, you will be responsible for a range of tasks to support our attorneys in the litigation process. This includes legal document preparation, document review, legal research, and assisting with the preparation of pleadings and motions.

Responsibilities

Propound and respond to written discovery Calendar all dates with use of calendaring and case management software Monitor statute of limitation dates for filing lawsuits and government claim deadlines Prepare summons and complaints, statement of damages, applications for publication, guardian ad litem forms, etc. Schedule depositions, hearings and QMEs. Order medical reports and organize case management statements Calendar all dates with use of calendaring and case management software Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Strong command of the English language including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style Strong knowledge of the Code of Civil Procedure Ability to compose correspondence 5-7 years of experience in a Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation Firm Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Carpenter & Zuckerman offers employees a substantial benefits package inclusive of medical, dental vision and basic life insurance. The firm also a 401(k) plan which includes an employer match available after a vesting period. The firm offers ten (10) paid holidays and four (4) half day holidays. Employees have 80 hours of sick leave each calendar year and accrue vacation at a rate of 3.36 hours per pay-period.
