Overnight Security Officer

Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer, you help keep our resort safe, secure, and welcoming. This role blends security responsibilities with hospitality focused service, ensuring our guests, team members, and property are protected while creating a friendly and supportive environment.  You maintain a visible presence, manage access points, respond to police, fire, or medical situations, and complete safety inspections and incident reports. By working closely with public safety partners and resort leadership, you help ensure everyone feels safe and cared for. When you join the Smoky Mountain team, you become part of a company that values hospitality, teamwork, and growth.What You’ll Do as a Security Officer:Serve as the first responder to police, fire, and medical incidents within the scope of Security Officer duties.Maintain a visible, uniformed security presence across assigned resort areasControl access at designated entry and exit points.Monitor security systems, including surveillance cameras and fire alarm panels, in compliance with legal and company requirements.Conduct routine safety and security inspections following established procedures.Maintain accurate security records, logs, and checklists.Prepare clear, timely, and detailed incident reports using computer systems and email.Assist guests and team members with security related concerns and service requests.Manage lost and found inventory, key control, and accountability.Perform traffic control, parking enforcement, assist public safety officers, and complete other duties as assigned.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
