Advanced Practice Provider Job Summary:

The House PA/NP will function as support to the Medical Staff of St. Joseph Hospital by facilitating the evaluation and treatment of patients in the hospital. The House Staff will respond to requests to evaluate patients from the Members of Medical Staff and other members of the hospital clinical staff. Patients will be evaluated and treatment initiated in cooperation with the appropriate treating physician. The physician assistant/ NY will assist in the compliance with quality of care metrics and be an advocate for excellent patient care while promoting service excellence at all times.

The House Staff is expected to provide hospital wide coverage to the nursing units on a 24 hour a day, seven day per week basis.

Advanced Practice Provider Qualifications:

Completion of a course of study in an Accredited Physician Assistant Program. An unrestricted license as a Physician Assistant in the State of New York. Completion of an Accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. An unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of New York. Two years of clinical experience as a Medical Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is desired. Completion of the Fundamental of Critical Care Course or equivalent within 6 months of hire. Maintain BLS and ACLS certification. Salary Range

USD - USD /Yr.

The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
