On Call Home Health Aide

Job Summary We are looking for a compassionate home health aide to join our growing team The right candidate has a can-do attitude, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients. The on-call position is guaranteed 40 hours a week whether you're scheduled or not with a client. Must be available from 8:00 am-4:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Must be willing to drive 25 miles from your home. Must be able to work with both male and female clients. Must be able to work with clients that have pets. Must be HHA Certified in the state of Indiana, have a valid driver's license, and transportation. Benefits Medical insurance Dental insurance Life insurance PTO Incentives Program Referral Bonus Responsibilities Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries, injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs, such as showering, bathing, dressing, and eating Remind clients to take prescribed medication Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, etc.) Assist with personal care and hygiene Plan and prepare meals Complete client’s shopping or accompany them to successfully do so Perform housekeeping duties Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency Offer activities that are essential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals, including serving and other tasks, if necessary Qualifications Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting, eager to improve and continuously learn new skills Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation every single day Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year) Willingness to enforce health and safety standards Supportive and compassionate High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Home Health Aide Take pride in providing high quality care We are always searching for more professionals to join the Vertical family, including Home Health Aides, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Personal Care Attendants.
