Who you are: Do you have experience running horizontal and vertical CNC Milling machines? Candidates must be capable of setting up and running Mazak HCN-5000 Horizontal Milling Centers, Mazak 700, or equivalent equipment.What you will be doing:Set up horizontal and vertical milling machines (Mazak) and related equipmentWorking knowledge of Mazatrol Smooth G and Nexus controls required (will confirm during interview process)Knowledge of Fanuc Series 18i-M and 18i-MB controls a Plus.A working understanding of G & M Code functions.The ability to link multiple machining operations to each otherManage tool list, tooling offsets, pallet fixturing and related tooling within the cellDemonstrates a working knowledge of speeds and feeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their applicationsWork closely with the programing department to develop and insure proper milling machining techniquesRead prints and process travelers without supervisionRead and understand work instructions and maintenance proceduresKnowledge of Inspection equipment to measure and record all dimensional features as requiredFollow the direction of the Cell lead and execute proven fabrication recipes as documented while highlighting any issues encounteredMaintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat and orderly condition, while always exercising good machining practices.Understand and adhere to ISO and Quality policies.Required to lift or move objects up-to 40 lbs.Other duties as requiredOur ideal candidate has: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.High school diploma or general education degree (GED)Minimum 10 years combined CNC operator and set-up Must have a minimum of Five years' experience as a CNC set-up person.About our client:MP's client has found a niche in the contract manufacturing market.
