This role focuses on athlete skill development, team strategy, and fostering sportsmanship, leadership, and academic responsibility among student-athletes.Job ResponsibilitiesPrimary ResponsibilitiesAssist the Head Coach with planning and conducting practices and training sessionsHelp develop individual and team volleyball skills, including fundamentals, strategy, and conditioningSupport game preparation, in-game coaching, and post-game evaluationReinforce team rules, school policies, and athletic department expectationsPromote sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect for opponents and officialsAssist with supervision of student-athletes during practices, games, and travelSupport communication with players, parents, and school staff as directed by the Head CoachHelp maintain equipment, uniforms, and practice facilitiesEncourage academic success and positive character development of student-athletesJob RequirementsKnowledge of volleyball rules, techniques, and strategiesPrevious volleyball playing or coaching experience preferredAbility to work effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and school staffStrong communication, organization, and leadership skillsCommitment to student safety, inclusion, and developmentAbility to comply with all school district, league, and state athletic association requirementsThe Archdiocese of St. Louis Catholic Education and Formation is an Equal Opportunity Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any kind.
