POSITION SUMMARY:The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the financial, administrative, and clerical support for our Tracker Marine Boat Centers. The Accounts Payable Clerk reviews and processes vendor invoices and is part of the customer service support team to all the company’s vendors, which includes reconciling vendor statements and mailing checks.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Accrues invoices at month end.Verifies pricing with invoice purchase orders and or proper authorization.Performs data entry of invoices into Accounts Payable systems.Files invoices in Open Payable waiting for checks to print.Stuffs and mails checks.Reconciles vendor statements.ALL OTEHR DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or EquivalentYears of experience: 1-2 years KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY: Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principlesAbility to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial recordsAbility to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copierCompetent in Microsoft Office Suite, namely ExcelHigh degree of accuracy and attention to detailGood verbal and written communication skillsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:N/APHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Regularly performs computer work and sits.Occasionally walks and stands.INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:Performs tasks and duties under direct supervision, using well-defined policies and procedures.
