You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.Job responsibilitiesExecutes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsGathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systemsProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureDevelops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersServes as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focusActively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life CycleInfluences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologiesExecutes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsCreates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systemsProduces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code developmentProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experienceHands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesProven experience as a Mainframe Developer with 8-10 plus years expertise in COBOL, CICS, IMS, DB2, JCL, VSAM, CA7 and ChangemanExperience with Credit Card Payment Processing service called TS2 Architecture and TS2 Options, with hands-on experience in a wide range of cardholder functionalities such as new credit card account setup, application processing, transaction posting, account cycling, statement generation, pricing, change-in-terms, and collections managementExperience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languagesStrong automation testing experience along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesProactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureOverall knowledge of the Software Development Life CycleCloud experience (AWS) Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience wiht Kafka, Smartspec and JenkinsAWS Certification
