Our Long Island City store serves as the heart of our community, hosting tournaments, events, and gatherings that bring players together both in person and online.Job Description:The Quality Control (QC) Specialist is responsible for verifying outbound shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and product condition before orders leave the warehouse. This role acts as a final checkpoint to prevent shipping errors, damaged goods, and customer dissatisfaction. The QC Specialist plays a critical role in protecting brand reputation and reducing returns, chargebacks, and reships.Shift: 9:00AM-5:30PM Key Responsibilities:Order & Shipment VerificationVerify outbound shipments against packing slipsConfirm correct SKUs, quantities, variants, and order configurationsInspect product condition to ensure items are free from damage, defects, or packaging issuesEnsure products meet internal quality standards and customer expectationsIdentify, document, and isolate damaged, incorrect, or questionable itemsFlag recurring picking, packing, or inventory issues to leadershipDocument errors, discrepancies, and corrective actionsWork closely with pickers, packers, inventory, and supervisorsProvide feedback and coaching to fulfillment staff when trends are identifiedSupport audits, cycle counts, or special projects as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent1–2 years of warehouse, fulfillment, or quality control experience (e-commerce preferred)Strong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to read and interpret pick lists, packing slips, and SKUsBasic computer skills (WMS, scanners, spreadsheets, or ERP systems)Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout a shiftAbility to lift up to 50 lbs as neededPreferred Qualifications:Experience in e-commerce, retail fulfillment, or high-SKU environmentsFamiliarity with barcode scanning and inventory systemsExperience handling fragile, collectible, or high-value itemsPrior quality assurance or audit experienceBenefits:Health, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off401kEmployee DiscountsGym Membership ReimbursementsSalary Range: $20 - $30 an hourEEO/AAP Statement: Gamer’s Choice is an equal opportunity employer.
