Key Responsibilities Perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using CMM, optical comparators, and other metrology equipment. Calibrate and maintain a variety of measurement tools and gauges according to established schedules and standards. Analyze measurement data, identify trends, and provide feedback for process improvement and quality control. Develop, document, and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for metrology processes. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with metrology equipment, ensuring accuracy and uptime. Generate detailed inspection and calibration reports, maintaining accurate records and traceability. Assist in the selection, validation, and implementation of new metrology equipment and techniques. Recommended Qualifications Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality Control, or a related technical field. 2+ years of hands-on experience with precision measurement tools (e.g., CMM, optical comparator, calipers, micrometers). Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Demonstrated ability to operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) using industry-standard software. Strong understanding of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and quality control standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
