At KPFF, 2 out of 3 of our interns return as full-time employees or return for another internship in the next year. Who We Are Looking ForStudents curious about Structural Engineering and wanting to understand the daily life of a Structural Engineer. We enjoy working with interns who are eager to contribute to their teams and who are interested in making connections and getting to know the people they work with. For this role you will need to have completed your junior year by the start of your internship and working towards a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. You are interested in Structural Engineering and would like the opportunity to be exposed to a wide range of projects and conditions. You enjoy working with and learning from others to create work that you are proud of. You take the initiative to solve challenging problems and are a proactive team member.    What You Will Be DoingAs a Structural Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in structural design, working closely with our experienced engineers on real-world projects. You will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge, develop your skills, meet other students who are in the same field, and contribute to meaningful work. You will assist in the preparation of calculations and construction documents on active jobs under the guidance of project leaders. You will have the opportunity to participate in project meetings and site visits.SalaryThe pay rate for this position is $29.50 an hour for students who have completed their junior year prior to the start of the internship.Monthly Way We Work stipend to assist with remote work and transit expenses.Work Schedule40-hour work schedule, Monday through FridayInterns work Monday-Thursday in our Orange County Irvine office.
