Job Posting: Civil Litigation Attorney Location: Hybrid in San FranciscoJob Type: Full-TimePractice Area: Professional Liability/General Liabiilty Civil Litigation Attorney Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Professional Liability / General Liability Attorney to represent clients in the defense of complex claims. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending professionals (such as attorneys, doctors, architects, etc.) and businesses against liability claims. The attorney will be responsible for managing cases from inception to resolution, including strategy development, legal research, and courtroom representation.Civil Litigation Attorney Key Responsibilities: Represent clients in professional liability and general liability matters, including litigation and claims defense.Provide legal counsel to clients regarding risk management, coverage issues, and best practices for minimizing exposure to liability.Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.Conduct legal research to support case strategy and to stay up-to-date on relevant laws and precedents.Manage a caseload of professional and general liability cases, overseeing all aspects of case management from initial investigation through trial or settlement.Take and defend depositions, as well as handle hearings, arbitrations, and trials.Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and develop strategies for resolving cases efficiently.Collaborate with clients, experts, and colleagues to build case strategies and prepare for trial.Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and legal advice on ongoing cases.Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, as well as ethical and professional standards.  Civil Litigation Attorney Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in professional liability and general liability defense.Proven experience in defending professionals (e.g., attorneys, healthcare providers, accountants) and businesses in liability claims.Strong litigation experience, including trial preparation, depositions, and courtroom representation.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and prioritize effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide sound legal advice.Client-focused, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.J.D. from an accredited law school.Licensed in CA in good standing.  Benefits: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package.Professional development and continuing education opportunities.Supportive, collaborative work environment.  How to Apply: Apply in the link, or send your resume directly to jaimi.harper@gogpac.com.
