Job Classification:Finance & Accounting - Finance & AccountingThe Corporate Development Group at Prudential Financial Inc. is responsible for acquisition and divestiture activities across Prudential's various businesses, both in the United States and internationally. Since the group’s inception in the late 1990s, the group has closed more than 120 transactions with aggregate value in excess of $35 billion. The group is also responsible for sourcing acquisitions as well as developing select strategic analyses to support Prudential’s executive team.The Corporate Development Analyst will play a key role in supporting Prudential’s strategic projects, preparing ad-hoc financial and business analyses for Prudential’s leaders, and participating in the execution of the company’s mergers and acquisitions activity. This position offers exposure to high-impact projects that shape the long-term direction of the organization and an opportunity to work closely with diverse teams across Prudential’s businesses globally. The environment offers a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting, fast-paced team that leads some of the highest priority and most impactful transactions that help shape the future of Prudential.What you'll do:Production of a variety of materials (including presentations, memos, and financial analysis) to inform senior management and facilitate strategic decision-makingPerforming research on and preparation of ad-hoc financial and strategic analyses as part of corporate level projects and M&A transactionsContribute to presentation materials for potential acquisitions, partnerships, and divestituresRegularly engage with business partners and senior leadership across Prudential globallyEvaluation of potential acquisition and divestiture targets including detailed financial analysis and an assessment of strategic fitCoordination of cross functional due diligence to evaluate the risks and opportunities of M&A transactionsSupporting financial modeling to assess the financial impact of potential acquisitions and divestituresAssisting with the management and execution of M&A processesWhat you'll need:2-5 years of prior work experienceFinance or M&A transaction-related experience is preferred, but not requiredLife insurance, reinsurance or broader financial services industry experience is a plus, but not requiredStrong financial modeling skillsTeam player with strong project management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills#LI-HybridWhat we offer you:Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $99,700.00 to $148,500.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.Market competitive base salaries, with a yearly bonus potential at every level. Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, Paid Time Off (PTO), and leave of absences, such as parental and military leave. 401(k) plan with company match (up to 4%). Company-funded pension plan. Wellness Programs including up to $1,600 a year for reimbursement of items purchased to support personal wellbeing needs. Employee Stock Purchase Plan: Shares can be purchased at 85% of the lower of two prices (Beginning or End of the purchase period), after one year of service. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
