Job Functions This is a working Leadership position. Using experience and knowledge to help grow the Maintenance team while performing in depth repairs. Must have 8+ years of related work experience. 4+ years of leading a team of two or more is preferred. Maintain and continuously advance individual’s plant knowledge, both theoretical and practical. Guide maintenance technicians with knowledge and hands on experience. Must have a strong desire to learn and teach. Work with a computerized Maintenance Management System to generate, delegate, and perform work from lists. Assist in updating and developing plant procedures to include lessons learned and best practices. Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on all plant systems. Learn the Control room operations to run the plant. Build and conduct trainings with Maintenance personnel. Maintains the plants inventory of tools, spare parts, fluids and other supplies for plant operations. Research parts needed for projects, obtain quotes and create requisitions for material and supplies as required. Assists other Company facilities as directed by management. Senior Maintenance Technicians Demonstrate the ability to use lathe, milling machine, power tools, torches, welders, and hand tools. Demonstrate the ability to use micrometer, dial indicator, laser alignment and vibration analyzer. Demonstrate ability to use forklifts, manlift, and scissor lifts. Must also have experience with rigging. Demonstrate the ability to interpret instructions and complete assignments independently or as part of a team. Must have extensive experience with LOTO, CMMS, and Computer skills. Performs maintenance activities on all production machinery and related support equipment. Maintains mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Work with contractors to complete assigned tasks. Must possess basic math skills, good verbal communications skills, and be proficient with the use of power and precision tools. Must be cooperative with those he/she contacts in this work and can work without direct supervision. Must know the hazards involved and the safety precautions to be practiced in the operation and maintenance of plant equipment and machinery. Work within and insure strict adherence to all safety practices and procedures. Must be able to respond to audio alarms and variations of sound. Must be able to pool our knowledge and energy to work in tandem to completely understand and productively respond to all the business challenges. Work Environment – Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. Protective equipment such as hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, air masks, hearing protection, chemical suits, hot gloves and other equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties. Work with hazardous materials may be required. Although predominately indoors, may include working outdoors. The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
