Responsibilities
include but are not limited to:Deliver Projects on Budget and Schedule:Work 40 hours per week, arriving punctually and adhering to scheduled breaks and lunches. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure adherence to project standards. Attend daily and weekly meetings with the Project Foreman or Project Manager to understand project goals. Prepare tools and materials in advance to maximize task efficiency.
Ensure quality workmanship to prevent deficiencies and avoid rework. Proactively request tools or materials early to prevent production delays. Customer Service and Jobsite Maintenance:Refer all customer inquiries regarding changes to project timelines, work scope, or design to the Project Foreman. Communicate professionally and courteously with customers and report any concerns to the Project Foreman.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite. Maintain Licensing and Participate in Training:Maintain an active journeyman plumber's license (Idaho residents) and meet all continuing education requirements. If licensed from another state, obtain an Idaho journeyman license within 6 months of the start date or hold an apprentice license if necessary. Actively participate in the company's training and development programs.
Employee Evaluation and Performance:Participate in regular employee evaluations, setting personal and professional goals. Work with supervisors to improve skills and track progress based on evaluation feedback. Mentor and train plumbing apprentices, guiding them through company procedures and best practices. The ideal candidate should possess:Valid journeyman plumbing license (Idaho or ability to obtain within 6 months).
Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow instructions and adapt to project requirements. Proficiency in reading blueprints and project documentation. Commitment to continuous improvement and high-quality workmanship.
Willingness to mentor and train plumbing apprentices.
