This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.The Chief of Staff serves as a strategic advisor and operational extension of the Vice President of HLS Manufacturing, enabling executive effectiveness through proactive management of priorities, communications, and cross-functional initiatives. This role helps translate the VP's vision into executable plans and ensures alignment across the HLS Manufacturing organization to achieve critical program milestones.This position works closely with all levels of the organization and requires flexibility to support a manufacturing operation that operates beyond standard business hours. This role is based in Merritt Island, FL and is on-site only.Key Responsibilities:Serve as trusted advisor and strategic thought partner to the VP of HLS ManufacturingManage the VP's complex calendar, prioritize requests, and ensure focus on high-impact activitiesSynthesize data and create executive briefings to support strategic decision-makingDrive special projects and cross-functional initiatives on behalf of the VPFacilitate effective communication between the VP and internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, manufacturing teams, and cross-functional partnersIdentify operational inefficiencies and develop solutions to improve organizational effectivenessRepresent the VP in meetings where appropriate and follow up on action itemsCreate and maintain program management artifacts to track progress against key objectivesPrepare materials for executive reviews, Board meetings, and other high-visibility presentationsCoordinate with the broader HLS program team to ensure manufacturing activities are aligned with program milestonesMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related technical field7+ years of progressive experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or related industries3+ years of experience in project/program management, operations, or strategic rolesProven track record of effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaborationExceptional written and verbal communication skillsStrong analytical abilities and data-driven decision-making experienceExperience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholdersDemonstrated experience solving technical problemsPreferred Qualifications:MBA or Master's degree in relevant fieldPrevious experience in a Chief of Staff or similar role supporting senior leadershipAerospace manufacturing experience, particularly in human spaceflight programsDeep understanding of lunar lander or spacecraft manufacturing processesExperience with production operations and manufacturing excellence principlesKnowledge of government contracting and NASA program requirementsCertified as a Six Sigma Blackbelt in Lean ManufacturingCompetencies:Strategic thinking and organizational awarenessExceptional judgment and discretion with confidential informationStrong problem-solving and decision-making capabilitiesAdaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentExcellent interpersonal skills and executive presenceDetail-oriented with strong organizational capabilitiesAbility to prioritize competing demands and manage ambiguityCollaborative leadership style with ability to influence without direct authorityCulture StatementDon’t meet all desired requirements?
