PumpTex, Inc is seeking an Experienced Retail Petroleum Service Technician to provide excellent customer service, repairs, and maintenance to the gas stations we serve in the East Houston area and drive our business by keeping our clients happy. We are looking for someone with a talent for troubleshooting petroleum equipment systems and interested in a long-term career in customer service.Our Petroleum Technicians earn a competitive wage based on experience as well as participate in our quarterly incentive bonus plan. As a family-oriented company, we want our employees to have good work-life balance.PRIMARY EXPECTATIONS:Communicate respectfully in person and over the phone with our clients and team membersRespond to a variety of service calls (including emergency response and after hours when on-call)Participate in a required rotating on-call schedule (1 week of on-call every 5 weeks)Repair and maintain dispensers, turbines, UST tank top equipment, UST monitoring equipment, and dispenser calibrationTrack inventory on the company vehicle to ensure that you have all the equipment you need to help our clientsAssist in managing client expectations through correct judgments, sound decisions, and technical knowledgeFollowing up with clients to make sure they are taken care ofKeep up to date on new equipment launches and industry compliance, and participate in ongoing trainingWork with a sense of urgency to make sure clients are operational and to minimize unbillable timeQUALIFICATIONS:Must live in the service area or surrounding areasAt least 5 years of experience as a Service Technician in the retail petroleum fieldExperience with 2 or more retail petroleum product lines (such as Wayne, Verifone, Gilbarco, Passport); current or previous certification is preferredMust have a valid driver's license and clean driving recordWORK SCHEDULE:Our Technicians typically work Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, opportunities for overtime, on-call rotation.ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?If you feel that you would be right for this Petroleum Technician position, complete our initial 3-minute, mobile-friendly application.
