Job Description

The Senior Payroll Manager oversees and supervises the organization's payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of payroll management including the routine payroll processing, tax and benefits compliance and reporting, and SOX compliance Analyze payroll processes and controls, identify efficiencies, drive change, and manage priorities. Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Contributes to the strategic direction of the company based on internal and industry knowledge. Responsible for developing and communicating team or functional vision and goal. Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors. Identifies and recommends updates to payroll processing software, systems, and procedures. Leads team through internal performance skills; Coaching, Conflict Resolution, and Problem Solving. Provides daily, monthly, and annual feedback through internal goal setting and review process and annual performance meetings. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required. 5+ years experience related to Payroll Management, including leadership responsibilities. Experience partnering, influencing, and building relationships with business leaders virtually. Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Excellent customer service and employee relation skills and abilities
