Description Novaspect, Inc, an Emerson Local Business Partner, the global leader of process systems and solutions, is currently offering an opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our fast paced, customer orientated team in our Schaumburg, IL location. The successful candidate will assist the Finance department with the financial recording, reconciliation and reporting of Novaspect operations as assigned. Senior Accountant Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare and post journal entriesPrepare and analyze balance sheet account reconciliationsPrepare reports and present findings for business unit review detailing monthly revenue, gross margin, and expenses by cost centerAnalyze and ensure company financial statements are prepared in accordance with GAAPAssure and maintain proper internal controlsFile monthly state sales and use tax returnsSupport month end, quarter end and year end closing activities which include some duties outside of main focus areaConsolidation, intercompany transactions and reconciliationsAssist in Audit activitiesAssist Financial Analyst in monthly forecasting activities by analyzing trends and budget attainmentManage Fixed Assets and capital purchasesProvide day-to-day support to operations as neededAd-hoc analysis and any other duties as assigned Requirements Senior Accountant Level Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting4-10 years of experience preferredHigh proficiency in Microsoft ExcelHigh computer application literacy including Microsoft Office SuiteIndustrial or manufacturing experience preferredCPA a plusIFS business system familiarity a plusSenior Accountant Additional Requirements:Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication skills and ability to maintain high level of customer service and tactProfessional appearance and excellent analytical, oral and written skillsAbility to work independently, exercise good judgment and be resourcefulAbility to manage time well and handle multiple priorities maintaining a positive attitude and composure; meets commitments and responds to requests for service and assistanceProven ability to build and support teamwork; exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views; contribute to building a positive team spiritSenior Accountant Physical Requirements:Ability to work extended hours on a computerSenior Accountant Pay: Salary Range: $85,000 - 105,000Potential Bonus: 5%Senior Accountant Benefits: Recognized with a Top Employee Benefit Plan Award, below you will find our outstanding total rewards package when you join our team including:Generous paid time off; starting at 15 vacation days, 10 holidays, and 10 days of Personal, Sick, & Safety Time (PSST) 401K with 6% company match Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Excellent health & wellness benefitsStudent debt & tuition reimbursementReferral bonusSenior Accountant Schedule: Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 4:30pm, or 8:00am - 5:00pm Senior Accountant Location: Schaumburg, ILWho We Are:Novaspect, Inc., is an employee-owned company that engineers, sells, and services industrial process controls.
