Marketing Specialist Job Summary Strategically implement the marketing plan's paid verticals to support clinical areas, ancillary programs and the hospital system as a whole. Develop and coordinate the identification of marketing methods, tools, budgets and vehicles to achieve plan goals to both internal and external audiences about MH services. Purchase media including billboards, digital advertising, tv advertising, radio commercials, and paid social media ads. Actively participate in hospital department/team meetings. Manage inventory of MH's branded gear. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Job Requirements A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, management, or communication and one (1) year of related marketing / business experience. -OR- High school diploma or its equivalent and five (5) years of related marketing/business experience. Preferred Job Requirements Experience buying media. Experience monitoring Search Engine Optimization (SEO). Healthcare experience. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Knowledge of marketing best practices and strategies. Ability to track views/impressions for all purchased media to help direct our buying strategy. Monitor Search Engine Optimization (DEO) efforts and manage Google Business locations for every MGH location. Excellent communication skills to effectively and tactfully communicate with patients and their families and guests, co-workers, managers, providers and other hospital personnel on a one-to-one basis using appropriate grammar, vocabulary and word usage. Interpersonal skills necessary in order to carry out duties in a professional manner, as well as the ability to work well under stress. Highly developed computer skills to include proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and proficiently perform computer applications related to department operations and job function. Excellent customer service skills. Strong organizational skills in order to manage multiple issues simultaneously combined with ability to effectively prioritize. Ability to be discreet and protect the integrity of any confidential matter or information encountered during the performance of job duties. Working Conditions Typical office environment with prolonged sitting and occasional standing and walking. Work may be subject to interruptions and occasional high stress levels. Works with highly confidential information which may be proprietary or protected health information. Ability to work extended hours or weekends based on the needs of the department. May attend special functions and meetings at various locations within the hospital and community. Occasional overnight stays. Physical and Mental Activities, Tools and Equipment Uses computer and other standard office equipment and lifting standard office supplies or equipment. Extreme concentration and attention to detail.
