The future Redwood City Cancer Center will seamlessly integrate cutting-edge research with comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, enhancing our bench-to-bedside activities and revolutionizing patient outcomes.If you are interested in joining Stanford Health Care, please read the job description below and apply online. A Brief OverviewPlans, organizes, manages and is responsible for all document control and distribution processes and systems for the Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) Department, including all construction project-related documentation received from and sent to the contractor, architect, and internal staff from initial planning and early development of a project through its completion.LocationsStanford Health CareWhat you will doMeets regularly with all the parties involved to stay abreast of and track the status of construction projects at all stages. Prepares meeting agendas as needed and records and distributes minutes summarizing matters discussed and actions approved.Scan, distribute, and file documents including (but not limited to) project designs, drawings, specifications, estimates, and correspondence to the appropriate archival repository.Verify and correct project-related documentation where needed.Ensures that document control and distribution systems, processes, and procedures are organized, accurate, clear, and complete.Maintains effective and on-going communications with construction and contractor management teams.Provides initial review of pay applications, change orders, and other incoming construction documents.Performs other project engineering and project management-related duties as well as incidental duties as needed or assigned.Education QualificationsBachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.Degree in a work-related discipline/field (Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management) PreferredRelevant experience in lieu of degree may be considered. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree is in addition to the experience requirements for this position.Experience QualificationsThree or more years of related experience in construction, design, or construction management RequiredRequired Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesKnowledge of and ability to use project management tools.Knowledge of CAD system, CAFM, estimating, cost control, scheduling, construction administration, quality control, and specific writing and place planning.Knowledge of technical and professional requirements in the fields of healthcare delivery, architecture, and the building design process, and construction.Knowledge of project management, accounting, construction design, construction methods, building materials, sustainability, mechanical and electrical construction, cost estimation, building codes and standards, and contract administration.Knowledge of OSHPD forms, applications, fees, permits, test, and inspection forms.Knowledge of RFI, PCO, submittal, and invoicing processes.Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite business software applications.Ability to organize and complete project documentation.Ability to read drawings and schematics.Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and complete work within deadlines ensuring accuracy and attention to detail at each step.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with and gain the cooperation of others at all levels, both within and outside SHC.Licenses and CertificationsNone .These principles apply to ALL employees:SHC Commitment to Providing an Exceptional Patient & Family ExperienceKnow Me: Anticipate my needs and status to deliver effective careShow Me the Way: Guide and prompt my actions to arrive at better outcomes and better healthCoordinate for Me: Own the complexity of my care through coordinationEqual Opportunity Employer Stanford Health Care (SHC) strongly values diversity and is committed to equal opportunity and non-discrimination inall ofits policies and practices, including the area of employment.
