Electrical Engineer

Position Summary: The Electrical Engineer will focus on Engineered-to-Order (ETO) design projects by releasing customizations to manufacturing through design work, bills of material, and engineering change orders. The role requires a strong understanding of UPS and Power Switching and Distribution Products for Data Centers and requires complex problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and managing tasks to meet project goals and schedules. Responsibilities: Customize existing products to meet customer requirements and specifications by identifying any new electrical components and designing new assemblies and electrical circuits. Design and release drawings and documentation through the Engineering Change Order process to the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Identify and implement potential VAVE opportunities. Support Vertiv Services in resolving field issues or field modifications. Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Interdisciplinary Engineering or related degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience is required Possess a strong fundamental knowledge in electrical engineering with proficiency in 3D CAD software. Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment both independently and as a member of team. Must be detail oriented, have good planning and organization, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferred CREO and/or SolidEdge. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of 3-phase transformers, power conversion, and related calculations. Proficient in NEC requirements, including but not limited to wire sizing, bend radius, and conduit sizing. Well-versed in circuit breakers, relays, batteries, and circuit monitoring equipment. Proficient in reading and/or redlining schematics and single-line diagrams.            Preferred experience with PLM systems (BOM and Engineering Change Order management) Preferred experience or knowledge on UPS, Static Switches and/or Power Distribution products.
