JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTSThe Mechanical Engineering Program at Penn State Berks invites applications for one to four part-time adjunct instructors to teach laboratory sections of ME W: Instrumentation, Measurements, and Statistics during the Fall 5 Semester. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals who are passionate about undergraduate education and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment.Job DutiesTeach laboratory sessions scheduled on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3: p.m. to 6: p.m. (two sections per day, ~ students each).Guide students through hands-on experiments involving sensors, data acquisition, and statistical analysis.Ensure a safe and engaging lab environment.Collaborate with faculty to maintain consistency with course objectives and materials (already developed).Requirements and QualificationsPreferred: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Desirable: Prior teaching or lab instruction experience.Strong understanding of sensor technologies, circuit design, and data analysis.Application Instructions - Please submit the following:A current curriculum vitae (CV) or résuméA 1–2 page cover letter detailing your interest in the position and your approach to teaching laboratory courses.Review of applications will begin on June , 5, and continue until the vacancy is filled.
