Job Title: NG911 NYPD CAD INTEGRATION ENGINEERLabor Category: Specialist 3Location: 11 MTC Brooklyn NYJob Type: ContractWork schedule: Normal business hours Monday-Friday 35 hours/week (not including mandatory unpaid meal break after 6 hours of work.Duration: 12 MonthsPay Rate: $110 to $120 per hourJob Description /JustificationWe are looking for a NG911 Subject Matter Expert (SME) needed to continue the project work for the Class 1/2/3 and Call Handling upgrades of the Next Generation 9-1-1 emergency call system and provide expertise and technical knowledge during the configuration, and test phases.NYPD - CAD Integration EngineerManage the CAD integration with NG Call Handling.Directs the configuration of equipment and subsystems into both PSAC environments for the NG9-1-1 Implementation.Advise the City and NG9-1-1 team on the integration, engineering and technical issues on the phases that include Telephony, Logging & Recording, Computer Aided Dispatch and Call Handling.Provide direction on Functional interfaces, testing to ensure CAD system meets requirements of the system.Ensure the CAD integration within the NG9-1-1 program is delivered on time and meets NYPD requirements.Validate CAD interfaces and participate in end-to-end System integration testing.Identify appropriate sequence and scheduling of integration efforts.SCOPE OF SERVICESNYPD - CAD Integration EngineerManage the CAD integration with NG Call Handling.Directs the configuration of equipment and sub-systems into both PSAC environments for the NG9-1-1 Implementation.Advise the City and NG9-1-1 team on the integration, engineering and technical issues on the phases that include Telephony, Logging & Recording, Computer Aided Dispatch and Call Handling.Provide direction on Functional interfaces, testing to ensure CAD system meets requirements of the system.Ensure the CAD integration within the NG9-1-1 program is delivered on time and meets NYPD requirements.Validate CAD interfaces and participate in end-to-end System integration testing.Identify appropriate sequence and scheduling of integration efforts.MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCENote: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.At least 12 years of experience in the engineering field.Provide expertise in existing NYPD ICAD systemsParticipate in the integration and testing of the NextGen911 Call Handling System with outlying systems, specifically the NYPD Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Lead technical discussions in integration planning and review meetings and managing the action items8 years Expertise on Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) for Police systemsExperience in implementing a Call Handling SystemIdentify system level use cases and test cases targeted at interface validation, as well as assisting the SDE team, project leads, and subcontractors in setting up and testing the interfaces in the SDEIntegration experience between CAD and a Call Handling SystemPrevious integration / test experience on a large system
