Senior Family Immigration Paralegal

Solano Law Firm is seeking Spanish-speaking Immigration Paralegal candidates to join our team. You will provide overall support to the Attorneys within the Firm.

Compensation:

$45,000 - $65,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Take care of administrative tasks such as answering phones and maintaining an organized filing system for all legal documents
  • Help lawyers prepare for trial by preparing and organizing exhibits, assisting with client meetings, filing motions, conducting research on legal articles, and organizing and coordinating witnesses
  • Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the guidance of a lawyer
  • Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies and/or a Certification as a trained paralegal with 3+ experience
  • Previous experience as a paralegal with a family immigration law firm
  • Fully bilingual in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with common immigration client management/forms software such as Law Logix, INSZoom, EImmigration, Immigration Tracker
  • Personal qualities: Highly motivated, organized, empathetic, and works well under pressure
