This position is responsible supporting and assisting the daily loadout of contract installers. The Warehouse Technician will support the shipping and receiving process as well as maintain the warehouse cleanliness and inventory structure.Warehouse Technician Duties and ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Assist with shipping and receiving, loading & unloading trucks, and scheduling freight carriers to pick up and deliver freightReading customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped.Sorting and placing materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.Filling sales orders, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to shipping or to designated assembly area.Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer program.Weighing and counting items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards.Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness/cleanliness at all times.Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.Gathers and positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.Warehouse Technician CompetenciesDemonstrate and understand compliance of the company’s safety processes.Work in a fast pace environment with accuracy.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.Experience and ability using computer programs preferredWarehouse Technician Education and Work Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED EquivalentValid Driver’s license required1-year experience in warehouse work environment preferred.Forklift Certified preferred.Flooring Industry knowledge is a plusRFMS Systems Experience is a plusBenefitsCompetitive Health Insurance PlansVision and Dental PlanCompany paid life insurance.Generous Paid Time Off Program401(K) / Roth plan with employer matchGenerous PTO plus paid HolidaysPhysical RequirementsWarehouse facility is not climate controlled and may experience extreme temperatures.Requires up to 8 hours of standing/walking (with breaks).Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds at times.Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and lowImpactPMCompensation details: 18-22 Hourly WagePI19f958984574-30511-39180246
