Job Family:Systems EngineeringTravel Required:Up to 25%Clearance Required:Ability to Obtain Public TrustWhat You Will Do:The Network Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing an organization's IT infrastructure to align with its business objectives. This role involves creating strategic IT roadmaps, ensuring system integration, and optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and scalability. The Network Engineer collaborates with stakeholders to ensure that IT solutions meet both current and future business needs.Responsibilities of this role are as follows, to include but not limited to:Oversee the daily operations of enterprise IT infrastructure, including:Virtualized environmentsNetwork Operations Center (NOC)Security Operations Center (SOC)Lead the execution of complex IT infrastructure migration and cloud transformation projects.Design, implement, and manage operational processes to ensure reliable delivery of IT services.Design, deploy, and manage functional networks (LAN, WAN, WLAN).Configure and install network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.Monitor network performance and ensure optimal functionality.Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network issues.Implement and oversee network security measures, including access controls and disaster recovery plans.Automate network tasks and monitor their effectiveness.Maintain detailed technical documentation for network systems.Suggest improvements to enhance network performance and scalability.Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and cybersecurity protocols.Implement best practices for disaster recovery and business continuity.Collaborate with stakeholders to align IT operations with FEMA’s strategic goals.Drive continuous improvement initiatives across IT services and infrastructureMentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.What You Will Need:Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public TrustEIGHT (8) or more years of experience supporting IT Enterprise Operations and/or Network Engineering.Bachelor's degree .
