Position SummaryAs an Associate Director, Digital Marketing & Artist Development, and with the direction of the VP, Digital Marketing and VP, International Marketing & Artist Development, this individual operates as a project manager to drive and evolve the company’s development of strategic and tactical marketing campaigns. You will serve as an integral part of a team responsible for creating and implementing digital marketing and revenue-generating campaigns for your assigned roster. This role operates as a project manager, communicating with artist management and providing budget oversight and ensure the effectiveness of marketing plan for an assigned roster of SMN artists.What you'll do: Serve as a project manager for an assigned artist roster, developing strategic timelines and marketing plans in collaboration with SMN’s promotion, media, creative and commercial partnership peers; lead in the execution of the marketing plan and evaluation of campaign results.Conduct planning meetings as needed, outlining specific agendas and identifying the most important next stepsCreate, develop and execute innovative digital marketing campaigns on behalf of assigned artist rosterGrow and engage social network communities (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube Community, etc.), track and analyze social media data and consumer marketing resultsCommunicate goals, strategies and marketing campaign efforts with internal and external teams to maintain expectations with Sony leadership, artists and managersServe as key liaison with in-house Creative Services team to ensure visual tools support the brand and satisfy established project goalsCreate marketing budgets and provide budget oversight for all artist releases, meeting annual overhead and profitability targetsImplement new technologies and marketing tactics geared to maximize music streaming and consumptionPartner with and oversee various stakeholders in the development of websites, content (video, audio, graphic, text), and posting strategies for web, social and mobileDrive CRM strategy for assigned artist roster; employ consumer data segmentation, targeting, testing and technical integration to optimize digital marketing initiativesWith support of the Coordinator, Digital Marketing & Artist Development, conceptualize contests and sweeps, including set-up of online forms and drafting of rules with legal departmentDevelop and execute measurable digital advertising campaigns that support overall project goals and reach target audiences across all artist digital properties Who you are: A self-starter with at least 4 years of experience in marketing with proven success developing innovative, creative campaigns, preferably in a creative industry (music, television, entertainment, etc.)An idea generator who has experience working in a collaborative space as well as leading, influencing, and delegating while executing under stressful and demanding situationsA team player with a passion for digital innovation and an ability to apply relevant technology trends to music marketing, as well as a strong work ethic, effective communication and editing skills (both written and verbal form) and advanced organizational skillsA creator and storyteller with extensive, hands-on experience managing social media platforms, building social communities and using mobile marketing strategies and technology systems (SMS, surveys, etc.)Strong grasp of CRM/e-mail newsletter platforms (e.g. Salesforce, MailChimp, etc.)Broad understanding of e-commerce, D2C and music/ticket bundling, music streaming business, and their relevant digital platforms, and marketing responsibilitiesA detail-oriented individual with demonstrated organization skills including experience independently managing time and meeting goals/deadlinesA strong professional presence with a demonstrated ability to exhibit a professional, confident, and positive manner in dealing with both internal and external stakeholders, and to work to maintain constructive working relationshipsA strong communicator with a high comfort level interacting with high profile clients and business partnersA trustworthy professional with experience taking a collaborative approach to problem-solving, excellent presentation skills to explain complex situations in clear terms to management and large groupsA music afficionado with familiarity / affinity for country music and a willingness to work extended hours including nights and weekends and available for travel as needed What we give you: You join an inclusive, collaborative and global community where you have the opportunity to channel your passion every day A modern office environment designed to foster productivity, creativity, and teamwork empowering you to bring your bestAn attractive and comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life & disability coverage, and 401K + employer matchingVoluntary benefits like company-paid identity theft protection and resources for pets, mental health and meditation resources, industry-leading fertility coverage, fully paid leave for childbirth or bonding, fully paid leave for caregivers, programs for loved ones with developmental disabilities and neurodiversity, subsidized back-up child and elder care, and reimbursement for adoption, surrogacy, tuition, and student loansInvestment in your professional growth and development enabling you to thrive in our vibrant community.
