Line Cook $13/hr DescriptionCrawfish Cafe is hiring line cooks (wok, fryer, boil) to join our team. If you're excited to be part of a restaurant serving the best viet-cajun seafood, Crawfish Cafe is a great place to grow your career.Responsibilities for Line Cook:Prepare ingredients then cook and assemble dishes as indicated by recipesPerform portion control and minimize waste to keep cost within forecasted rangeEnsure that all dishes are prepared in a timely manner by restocking ingredients at work station and meeting prep times to ensure smooth deliverySet up and clean station according to restaurant protocolMaintain a clean work station area, including kitchen equipment, tables, and shelvesComply with applicable sanitary, health, and personal hygiene standardsEnsure quality and freshness of ingredients and productsPerform additional tasks as assigned by the kitchen shift leads and managersQualifications for Line Cook:Understanding of cooking methods and procedures, and knife handling skillsAbility to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detailAbility to read and follow cooking directionsAbility to remain calm in a fast-paced environmentMust be organized and self-motivatedMust be able to stand, bend, stretch, and lift, and carry heavy materialsLine Cook Benefits:Flexible schedules with AM and PM shifts available.Free shift meal when working both shiftsDiscounted employee mealsCompany InformationCrawfish Cafe opened in 2013 in Houston, Texas serving viet-cajun seafood including crawfish, blue crabs, snow crab legs, kings crab legs, dungeness crab, shrimp, clams, mussels, lobster & more
