This position is responsible for providing high‑quality instruction, fostering a nurturing and faith‑centered classroom environment, and supporting the academic, social, and spiritual development of young learners. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong instructional skills, a passion for early elementary education, and a commitment to the mission of Catholic education. Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with school and Archdiocesan curriculum standards.Create a warm, structured, and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning, curiosity, and respect.Integrate faith formation and Catholic values into daily instruction and classroom life.Assess student progress using a variety of tools and provide timely, constructive feedback.Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, colleagues, and administrators.Maintain accurate records, including lesson plans, grades, and student documentation.Supervise students during transitions, recess, lunch, and other assigned duties.Collaborate with faculty on curriculum planning, school initiatives, and community‑building activities.Participate in professional development, faculty meetings, and schoolwide events.Model Catholic values and contribute positively to the spiritual life of the school community. QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Education required; Master’s degree preferred.Valid Missouri teaching certification or eligibility for certification.Experience teaching early elementary students or working in a school setting.Strong classroom‑management, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to create engaging lessons that support academic and faith development.Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.Must meet Archdiocesan compliance requirements, including Safe Environment training. Additional ExpectationsThe ideal candidate demonstrates enthusiasm for teaching young children, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine desire to support each child’s growth.
