Position Description: Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Poughkeepsie, NY Pay: $25.00 $30.00/hour Type: Full-TimeSchedule: MondayFriday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM A growing company in Poughkeepsie, NY is looking to add an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to their accounting team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity of the organizations vendor and expense records. Youll be responsible for handling all aspects of the accounts payable process from invoice entry to payment processing and month-end reporting. Were looking for someone who is organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities: Receive, review, and verify vendor invoices and purchase orders Enter invoices into the accounting system with appropriate GL coding Prepare and process check runs, ACH, and wire payments Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries in a timely manner Assist with monthly closing processes, including AP aging reports and accruals Maintain updated W-9s and support year-end 1099 reporting What Youll Need: 2+ years of hands-on accounts payable experience Strong computer skills, including Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, etc.) Knowledge of basic accounting principles and AP best practices Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks This is a great opportunity for a reliable AP professional to join a stable company with a supportive team.
