Cross-Trained Barista

Description The Cross-Trained Barista / Cook supports daily café operations by preparing and serving food and beverages while providing warm, welcoming customer service. Other duties may be required and assigned.Prepare and serve coffee, espresso drinks, and food items.Greet customers and provide excellent hospitality.Operate café and kitchen equipment safely.Process POS transactions and handle cash.Maintain cleanliness and follow health and safety standards.Assist with opening/closing duties, events, and catering as needed. Hands-on experience with brewing equipment. Knowledge of sanitation regulations. Basic math skills. Excellent communication skills. People person. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIESThe ability to communicate, listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. The ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Strong command of both written and spoken English language. WORKING CONDITIONSThe working hours of this position are not limited to an 8-hour day. This person will need to be available in the evening and weekends, as needed. Must be willing to work in conditions of stress and function well under pressure. PHYSICAL and SENSORY REQUIREMENTSTasks involve bending, twisting, squatting, reaching, and standing for long periods of time.
