Williston Care Center - Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA – PRNWilliston Care Center, Williston, FloridaWe are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team at Williston Care Center, specializing in subacute rehabilitation. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to implement individualized therapy plans aimed at restoring function, improving mobility, and enhancing the quality of life for our patients.Key Responsibilities:Patient Care: Assist in the evaluation and treatment of patients with various conditions, including neurological, orthopedic, and medical issues, following the plan of care established by the Physical Therapist.Therapeutic Interventions: Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities such as heat, cold, and electrical stimulation to promote healing and improve function.Patient Education: Instruct patients and their families on exercises, use of assistive devices, and strategies to enhance mobility and independence.Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with facility policies and regulatory standards.Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary healthcare team, including nurses, physicians, and other therapists, to coordinate patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.Equipment Management: Ensure that all therapy equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.Compliance: Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies and procedures, to ensure the delivery of safe and effective care.Qualifications:Education: Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.Licensure: Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in the state of Florida.Experience: Previous experience in a subacute rehabilitation setting is preferred.Skills: Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles and practices; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team environment.Certifications: Current CPR and First Aid certifications.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move patients as needed.Capacity to perform physical activities, including standing, walking, and bending, for extended periods.Benefits:Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for professional development and continuing education.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementWe are committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
