POSITION SUMMARY: Customer Service orientated position primarily responsible for delivering superior food and beverage service to To-Go order guests according to Potomac Family Dining Group and Applebee’s brand standards for timeliness, accuracy, and guest service.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND TASKS:Take to-go orders via the phone, mobile app or onlineDelivers food and drinks to guest’s car using Applebee’s Carside ServiceGreets guests, answers questions, and makes suggestions regarding food and drink selection per the Carside script.Interacts verbally with all guests creating a friendly and upbeatRelays orders to service bar and kitchen via point-of-sale computerized registerObserves guests and responds to additionalAnticipates guest needsPresents guest check to each car and accepts payment; makes correct change and/or completes proper charge cardCompletes all plate presentations per the to-go recipes/plate presentationPass a final quality check on the food for plate presentation, temperature and garnish and notes and special modifications or protein temperatures on theParticipates in the cleaning, clearing, stocking, organizing and resetting of Carside/To-GoCompletes other side work asMay occasionally be scheduled to serve guests in a Host/Hostess or ServerAssists in general Front of House maintenance functions including:maintaining restroomslight cleaning such as dusting light fixtures/furniture/woodwork/artifactswashing and/or wiping windowssani-bucket rotationsetting up the expo lineemptying trashrolling silverwaremaintaining restaurant curb appealEQUIPMENT/ COMPUTER SKILLS:point-of-sale computerized register systemPhoneSoda fountain operationOperation of cleaning tools such as cleaning cloths, buckets, brooms, vacuums, non-electric vacuum sweepers SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: None. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Friendly and engaging demeanor18+ years oldPrior restaurant service experience preferredReading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills requiredBi-lingual experience a plusReliable transportation requiredHigh School Degree or GED preferredAbility to build relationshipsAbility to be a team playerAbility to follow manager instructions and guidanceAbility to communicate and behave professionally at all times PHYSICAL DEMANDS:Ability to wipe down table tops, table legs, pick up debris off of the floor, and wipe down booth seats in the bar area of theMobility required during the entireTransports plates, glasses, and baskets to and from the service bar and kitchen more than 30 times perAbility to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours inMust have a good sense of balance, be able to reach, bend, stoop, and kneel and frequently lift as much as 50 pounds.Transport to-go bags and beverages to car up to 15 pounds up to 30 times perMust be able to speak clearly and listen attentively to guests and other Travel: Less than 5% WORKING CONDITIONS: Subject to wet floors and loud noises, outdoor conditions, fast-paced.
