Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary. Essential Functions:Collects and safeguards cash and checks at the Finance counter, including all cash receipts for the Town; identifies the purpose of cash receipts, ensures receipts are properly coded.Enters detailed cash receipts data into the point-of-sale system.Balances cash drawers to system reports.  Research deposits and coding errors to prepare the deposit; reconciles deposit tickets to cash input.  Resolves differences.Responds to customer questions about bills; directs customers to other Town personnel as appropriate.Safeguards Finance Department’s and the Town's emergency purchase credit cards;
