HVAC Lead Installer

Job Description JOB SCOPE:Responsible for the installation of a minimum of 3 heating and air conditioning systems per week. The HVAC Lead Installer will also be responsible for the completion of frontline services and repairs to company standards of assigned territory. The HVAC Lead Installer is responsible for providing excellent customer service while supervising the work of the Install Assistant. Must maintain high quality standards and timely job performance. Responsible for achieving acceptable performance metrics, productivity goals, and quality scores for assigned area.JOB SUMMARY:The HVAC Lead Installer is responsible for ensuring all installations of Heating and Cooling products (Heat Pumps, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, Gas or Oil furnaces, and Boilers) are completed in a timely manner and abide to all company, city, state, and county code requirements while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Additionally, this position promotes and sellsadditional products and services that directly impact the profitability of the Company. The HVAC Lead Installer is also responsible for providing direct mentoring of HVAC Assistant. Other responsibilities will include but not limited to frontline service and repairs across all product lines offer by company.REPORTS TO:Area Manager, HVAC Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:Installs new Heating and Air Conditioning systems and related accessories according to company, safety, and manufacturer's specificationsEnsures complete protection of customer's property during installation or service of productRemoves all old equipment from customer's home and cleans up all areas utilized for the new installationMaintains the highest level of customer service while performing installation and other job duties while promoting additional product and services to the customerSupervises Install Helper to ensure high quality and timely completions for all installationsMaintains the highest level of standards for time management and quality completionsEnsures material inventory and maintenance for vehicles is completed to company requirementsSupports obtaining and processes all required permitting based on company, city, state, and county code requirementsCoaches and trains others within the business on all company operating policies specific to the roles and responsibilities of an HVAC installation and other products as assignedPerforms other duties as assignedJOB REQUIREMENTS:Technical school degree or equivalent3-4 years of related experienceLicense/certification in relevant fieldValid Driver License for the State of employmentUp to 100% travel18 years of age or olderREQUIRED SKILLS:Applicable CFC LicenseAbility to communicate, read, understand and apply written text of a technical nature in order to answer questions, solve problems or complete job taskComplete knowledge of all tools, equipment and materials used to perform services on Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) unitsAbility to read, write and speak EnglishAbility to receive truck stock at home if a Company vehicle is retained at the residence or other locationAbility to work variable and flexible hours, including significant overtime as needed, along with overnight and Sunday service as neededAbility to follow appropriate industry specific regulations related to the handling of hazardous materialsAbility to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, stretch, twist, reach and climbAbility to drive and travel long distances of over 5 hoursAbility to drive in various weather conditions for long periods of time and in various demographic areasAbility to access interior and exterior landscapesAbility to access different levels of terrain while performing dutiesDemonstrate a commitment to safe work practices and coaches others in all aspects of the position including the work/customer environment, use of personal protective equipment, and safe drivingDemonstrate exemplary technical behaviors to new and incumbent technicians and serves as a positive role model by conveying a positive image of the company in all actions and behaviors & maintaining a high level of professionalism at all timesPREFERRED SKILLS:Strong HVAC diagnostics knowledge and experienceResidential HVAC and duct installation Years Experience 2 - 5 Years Experience Travel Requirements Road Warrior (75% or more) Work-In City Columbia Work-In State SC Work-In Postal Code 29204 Job Function Repair/Installation EEO/EOE Footer Equal Opportunity Employer / Disability / Vet.
